How We Review APKs

Every APK covered on visioncine.net is tested on real phones before any download button goes up on this site. Lucia Fernandez installs the app herself, uses it the way a viewer would, and only then is the version listed with its download information.

Each review works through the same set of checks, in the same order, so versions can be compared fairly. The app is installed cleanly from its APK file, the permissions it requests are reviewed, performance and battery behaviour are checked during normal use, and the file goes through a safety scan. When a new version lands, the checks are run again before the listing is updated.

For Cine Vision, testing also covers catalogue browsing, subtitle and audio options, casting to a television and playback on mid range hardware. If a version fails a check, it is not listed until the problem is understood and noted.
